New! Organize Pops into Campaigns

With Campaigns you can schedule when certain pops are live.

Written by Support

Campaigns are folders you can use to organize your Pops. If there are some pops such as a discount that's only active for a limited time you can place it in a campaign folder and schedule it to go live when customers can use it.

Note: Pops stored in campaign folders will not be displayed to visitors until the campaign is active.

From any pop click the Add to Campaign button at the top to add that pop to a Campaign folder.

When the campaign window appears you'll want to name your campaign and be sure to note the warning that the pop will be disabled once you add it to the campaign.

When a Pop is added to a campaign, Campaign will appear above it on the pop manager page. Click the gear beside it to open the Campaign Manager.

The Campaign Manager

The default state of the campaign is always Paused when created. Now you can personalize the pop or pops included in the campaign by changing the message or the design while it is hidden your online store. You can also schedule a specific date and time for the Pop to go live, or manually activate the campaign once you've finished adjusting any settings.

You can also add additional pops to the campaign if you like. You might want to create a common theme for a group of pops before major holidays like Christmas or Valentine's Day. Just be mindful of the starting date and time of the campaign so you don't have the pops inactive for too long or you may lose conversions.

Adding More Pops to your Campaign

When you go to add a new Pop to a campaign, you'll notice that not all pops are available. Any pop that is already in a campaign or in an A/B test cannot be added. Once an A/B test is ended the pop will be available again. Pops that are unavailable because they are in a different campaign won't be available until they're removed from that folder. In the example below after adding a second pop to the Back to School campaign the design is adjusted to match the Discount pop already in the campaign. Be sure to save changes to return to the campaign settings.

Live Campaigns

After you set a campaign live, or the scheduled time to start the campaign has passed any pops in the folder will be shown to all visitors. Campaigns do not have unique targeting settings.
Also, any other enabled pops, including those in A/B tests will also be shown along with the campaign pops.

Ending a Campaign

When the scheduled time to end the campaign comes or when you manually close the campaign, be sure to delete Pops from the campaign so they are available for other campaigns or A/B testing. Once removed from a campaign, if that pop is enabled it will be shown on your store again, following any targeting rules you've set for that pop.

NOTE: Any changes you made to the pop for the campaign stay active until the next time you edit it.

The ability to add a pop to more than one campaign and schedule them to appear consecutively is in the works!
