What is a Welcome Pop?
As the name implies, a Welcome Pop is a modal or a prompt that will appear when someone visits your online store. It is a way to give your customers a warm welcome and offer them great deals at the same time.
Welcome pops always display first when visitors arrive at your store, making them your prime opportunity to make a great first impression.
With the Welcome Pop, you can easily create a customizable pop-up that greets visitors to your Shopify store with a special message and a discount code. You can even link the pop-up to a specific page on your site, making it easy for customers to take advantage of your latest sale or promotion.
Getting Started
Step 1: Access Welcome Pop Settings
From your POP! dashboard, navigate to Social Proof
Click on "Edit in The Welcome Pop" to open the welcome popup configuration
Step 2: Choose Your Pop Type
Click on Settings and select your Pop Type, what type of content to display:
Media + Message: Combines an image with text content. When selected, you can access the editor to change the image, colors, shapes, and other visual elements
Media Only: Displays only an image or visual content
Message Only: Shows text content without any images
Step 3: Create Your Message
Pop Content is where you write the actual message you want to show visitors:
Keep your message clear and welcoming
Include your value proposition (discount, free shipping, etc.)
Add a compelling call-to-action
Consider your brand voice and tone
When choosing a Welcome Popup with Media, you'll be able to access our powerful media designer by clicking Edit Image but first you must select the Template.
In the Templates Tab, you'll find Templates where you can choose from predesigned themes. These templates provide a professional starting point and can be customized to match your brand.
Important: To select a template, click Preview to see how it looks. Once you choose and apply a template, your previous design will be replaced and cannot be recovered. Make sure you're satisfied with your current design before selecting a new template.
Choose from a bank of images or upload your own to create your design.
The media designer includes tools for:
Text: Add and customize your welcome message
Images: Choose from our image library or upload your own
Background: Customize background colors and styles
Shapes: Add design elements to enhance your popup
Step 4: Set Up Click Actions
Pop Click Event allows you to add a custom URL to redirect users when they click on your popup:
Link to a specific product or collection page
Direct to your About Us page for brand storytelling
Connect to a promotional landing page
Redirect to signup or contact forms
Step 5: Configure Page Display Settings
On Pages tab you will be able to control where your welcome popup appears:
Welcome popups are always displayed first when a visitor arrives at your store
You can choose to include or exclude the popup on specific pages
Choose 1 type of filtering:
Specific pages only: Select specific pages where the popup will show
All pages except: Select specific pages where the popup will NOT show
